2023 PBC Art Exhibition Winners Announced
The Peach Belt Convention has announced the winners of the once-a-year Art Exhibition and unveiled the catalog.
The Artwork Exhibtion is break up into a General classification and a Campus Spirit classification.

For the ninth yr in a row, the PBC will present the exhibtion digitally. The winners of this year’s PBC Artwork Exhibtion are:
1st Location – “Human Barnacle” by Tatiana Zalapskaia, USC Beaufort. Ceramic Sculpture.

Winners of the Campus Spirit Category are:
1st Position – “Heads Will Roll” by Kyle Bryant, Lander. Multimedia Sculpture.

2nd Area – “Ride ‘Em Cowboy” by Jacob Ray Harry, Lander. Metal and Wood.

3rd Location – “Calvin Will work a 9-5” by Maggie Ahern, Lander. Multimedia.


Artwork Exhibition Decide: Jim Slagle
Jim Slagle defines himself as a designer | photographer | artist | maker. As the operator of Slagle Graphics, a multifaceted studio (specializing in graphic layout, images, and artwork), he characteristics his enthusiasm and results in the subject of artwork & style and design to his education and experience in excess of his 30 yr vocation. Following earning a Bachelor degree in Visual Communications & Pictures from Towson State University in 1992, Slagle labored in the structure business for 15 yrs before pursuing his Masters diploma in Graphic Style which he earned in 2005 at Florida Atlantic University. He moved to SC the place he took a position as a Artistic Director at Haggerty Advertising and marketing and also taught as an adjunct professor at Converse College or university. Slagle was employed at Lander University in 2007 to produce a Graphic Structure Emphasis in the Art Division. He served as the Artwork Division chair for 6 several years along the way throughout his 14 years as a Professor of Artwork in advance of he remaining to begin his current organization, Slagle Graphics.
